Musco Light Development Project in Poland Ribbon cutting ceremony at HC Pomorzanin Torun, Poland The European Hockey Federation (EHF), together with their approved lighting supplier Musco Lighting Europe, are delighted to announce the successful installation of the development light project, at HC Pomorzanin Torun, Poland. This facility is one of just five International standard hockey facilities in Poland, which will mainly be used by the Polish Senior Men's team, whom are currently ranked in the top five of the Euro Hockey League. Mr. Andrzej Grzelak, President of the Polish Hockey Association commented, “I am very glad that I can open this new facility” and went on to extend his thanks to the European Hockey Federation and Musco Lighting for all of their assistance. The new 500-lux facility hosted the recent test match between Poland and Ukraine on the opening night, which saw Poland win by 9-2 (score). Crowds of 600 were witnessed at the game, which included the Mayor of Torun, Michal Zaleski who very much enjoyed the match and was satisfied with the result, he commented, “It is very good the first match on the new pitch was won by a Polish team!” The Mayor is sure that this project will help to develop hockey in Poland at both a grass roots and International level. He announced, “Whenever there will be a new hockey stadium we will try to arrange floodlights”. Musco Lighting Poland representative Przemyslaw Wisniewski expressed, “Musco Lighting is very happy to switch our lights on at this beautiful new stadium, the wonderful facilities here will last for years and events can now be organised with play going on well into the night”.
