Musco Floodlight the Rose Bowl
|

The Rose Bowl
Musco Lighting Europe are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the contract to supply and install a permanent
floodlighting system for The Rose Bowl. The home of Hampshire County Cricket Club, The Rose Bowl now has a World-Class
floodlighting system that will allow the staging of International one-day cricket.
This is more fantastic news for The Rose Bowl and keeps us right on course with our plans to make this magnificent stadium
an integral part of the International cricket scene says club chairman Rod Bransgrove.
A total of 300 state of the art 2KW luminaries incorporating LV8 light control visors deliver 2000-lux in the vertical
plane to the creases of the two principal match pitches. The luminarie head-frames, each containing 50 luminaires, are supported
on six columns measuring 30 metres to the top of the head-frames. The Rose Bowl's unique bowl design
means that the effective height of the columns is 34.50 metres above the playing surface. Whilst achieving the light levels required
for the highest standard of cricket the system is also environmentally friendly. Special care was taken during the design process
to ensure that light away from the stadium was kept to the minimum.
Musco Lighting Europe is committed to delivering innovative lighting solutions for all sports with excellence as standard.
We wish Hampshire County Cricket Club a successful campaign during the 2006 season and we look forward to continuing our long
association with English cricket.
