Musco Partner RFU CCDP Year Four Programme Rugby Football Union Musco Lighting Europe Limited has again been chosen to partner the RFU (Rugby Football Union) over the period 2006-2008, of their Community Club Development Programme (CCDP) and National Sports Foundation (NSF) facilities programmes. Musco came through the scrupulous tender process set by RLF (Robinson Low Francis) who are consultants on the scheme, to be one of two sports floodlighting contractors involved. Previous experience along with energy saving and warranty values offered by the company, made them a definite choice for inclusion on such a worthy venture. The CCDP is an innovative collaboration between the Government, Sport England and Sports Governing bodies, while the NSF was established earlier this year to encourage new and innovative private investment to match NSF funding, with both programmes aimed at improving community sporting facilities. Since 2003 Musco have been responsible for designing, planning, manufacturing and installing 32 lighting projects at rugby grounds throughout England, from Berwick Upon Tweed to Bristol. This year (2006/07) they are being tasked to carry out the same turnkey process on 34 clubs. “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Musco on the CCDP and NSF programmes for 2006-2008” said Simon Winman, Head of Funding & Facilities at the RFU. “The CCDP and NSF represents a new way of working for the RFU, whereby we are involved in the initial selection of projects that should receive funding based on our own strategic plans. Musco will help us to deliver floodlighting projects where they are most needed,” he added.
