Glentoran FC couldn’t quite pull off a win against Ballymena United Wednesday 26 August, but they were still excited about their first game under new floodlights at The Oval in Belfast.

The floodlights, provided by Musco Lighting, were switched on for the first time, much to the delight of players and fans alike. Over the past few years, fans had struggled to see the action on the pitch.

Musco is pleased to have recently installed the pitch’s floodlighting system, which satisfies television broadcast requirements and provides guaranteed constant light levels. Thanks to the tight spill light control, reduced by 50% compared to typical floodlighting technology, the lights don’t interfere with the nearby Belfast City Airport and the M50. •
