Musco Lighting Europe Shine in Barbados Musco Lighting Europe Ltd has won the order for yet another fantastic new international cricket facility in the West Indies, this time in Barbados. Having already installed floodlighting at St Lucia earlier this year, Musco are delighted to now provide the sports lighting system at the brand new state-of-the-art Cricket venue ‘The Three Ws Oval’, in Bridgetown. The stadium is the home ground for The University of West Indies and will host warm up matches for the 2007 Cricket World Cup. Musco will supervise the installation of 138 x 1500 watt metal halide floodlights with innovative photometrics to provide 1000 lux vertically on the infield. This lighting will be of the highest standards for participants and spectators, and will meet the minimum standard needed for televised cricket. Musco have built up a successful relationship with the England and Wales Cricket Board and the International Cricket Council, following the installation of permanent floodlighting at several International Cricket grounds in the UK, most recently ‘The Rosebowl’. With an estimated audience of two billion viewers, the ICC Cricket World Cup is one of the world's most prestigious sporting events.
