Musco Lights for Poland The well established KS Pocztowiec Poznan Club is being awarded the first set of Musco Lights under the new partnership agreement between the European Hockey Federation and Musco Lighting Europe Limited. KS Pocztowiec Poznan has a membership of 200 players including men, women, boys and girls. Pocztowiec has been the sport club of telecommunication and post office employees in Poland since 1932 and offers numerous disciplines such as swimming, athletics, skiing, cycling, tennis and skating. The hocky section plays a special role in the history of the club, since 1976 the senior team has played in Poland's first division and has won ten championship titles between 1979 and 2005. Furthermore they took third place in the European Cup Winners Cup, in Amsterdam held in 2001 and were semi-finalists in Cannock, at the EuroHockey Club Men's Championship. The junior teams are also regional and national leaders. KS Pocztowiec Poznan Club is delighted to have been awarded Musco's Floodlighting System. The lights will have a huge impact on the club during the months of September, October, March and April when the teams train outside. There is now also the possibility for the whole club to use the facility including the thriving junior section. It is also hoped that larger crowds will now be seen at the club given that matches can be played in the evening. Leandro Negre, President of the European Hockey Federation said: “We are delighted that KS Pocztowiec Poznan has been chosen as the venue for the first set of Musco Lights under this partnership agreement. The criteria was to choose a club that had real potential to further develop grassroots hockey for women, men, boys and girls, along with finding a club that was well established and had the infrastructure to sustain and justify this significant investment.
