Calday Grange Grammar School

West Kirby, United Kingdom
Musco Sports Lighting's Calday Grange Grammar School Project

As participation grew in the Calday Grange Grammar School hockey program, so did the challenges of logistics for the pitch. Without lighting for practices on dark winter days, scheduling became difficult and seasons shorter. Any hopes for hosting tournaments required compliance with International Federation of Hockey (FIH) pitch lighting criteria. Adjacent neighbours, however, were concerned about trespass light. The installation of Light-Structure Green™ eliminated spill and glare issues and met the school’s needs for dual level FIH-approved light levels for Class II non-televised competition and training. The system also supplies suitable light levels for car parking. The Musco Constant 10™ warranty and the lighting’s environmentally focused technology allowed the 375-year-old school to take a proactive approach to maintenance and
energy savings.
